Our chapter was chartered 1962 by twelve dedicated African American professional women, all already community leaders and advocates.  The Annapolis chapter has grown over the years along with its increased influence and impact in the community on young scholars, women’s issues, social justice and healthcare.

We want to take this opportunity as The Links, Incorporated to highlight our work in the greater Annapolis community, please take time during your visit to our website to learn more about us.  We are working to create positive influences in our community through innovative community outreach, advocacy for those whose voices are often not heard, as well as develop partnerships throughout Anne Arundel County.  All of this with the goal to fulfill our compassion to serve and help others.

Our chapter and its members are long-standing community leaders.  Members represent every sector of the professional spear of leadership.  We are fortunate to have leaders in healthcare, law, media, education, civil rights, federal, state, county, and city governments.

Our chapter members are empowered to represent our international organization and take on the challenges that threaten equality for everyone in our community.  Our work is focused in five facet disciplines: Services to Youth, National Trends and Service, International Trends and Service, The Arts and Health and Human Services.  Each facet allows our programs to be focused and are designed to enhance and compliment the national and area program initiatives, all customized to meet the needs of our local community.

We cannot do this alone, partners and partnerships are one of our most valued resources.

“Innovation, Advocacy and Compassion,” are three words inspiring our chapter’s mission and direction.  We welcome organizations and individuals with the passion and desire to support our work to join us.  We want to create opportunities, and lasting experiences for any community member needing our help or support.  If your organization would like to learn more about The Links, Incorporated, Annapolis (MD) Chapter please feel free to contact us.
