President’s Message

“Forward Thinking, Forward Movement with Excellence” – these are the women of The Annapolis (MD) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.

As you visit the website, you will learn more about our chapter’s mission to serve the community and cultivate friendships.

The Links, Incorporated consists of 299 chapters and a membership that is over 17,000 women in 41 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and the United Kingdom.  It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.

The Annapolis (MD) Chapter was chartered in 1962 by twelve dedicated African American professional women, who were already community leaders and advocates.  The Annapolis (MD) chapter has grown over the years, to just over 50 women and has continued to make an impact in numerous ways in our five-focus areas of:  Health & Human Services, The Arts, Services to Youth, National Trends & Services, International Trends & Services. Our facets are developed to support our national and area programming efforts and have extensive community outreach in Anne Arundel County.

Our chapter members have professional careers that stem from the Courtroom to the Boardroom and everyone is dedicated to lending a helping hand to help uplift others. We are focused individuals that will stand up for others, and are passionate and committed to making a positive impact on everyone we touch. Our community partners make us stronger and allow us to extend our reach and serve Anne Arundel County, so we can make long-lasting impressions.
